CEO & Co-Founder
Paul has worked with video and big data files for his entire career and he understands the complexities of sharing those files. His experience in the broadcasting and cable industry, along with the contacts he nurtured through the years helped him to establish latakoo inside some of the biggest broadcasting companies. Paul has won numerous awards, including NATAS Emmys for investigative journalism. He holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas and a Master in Public Education from the Harvard Kennedy School with a focus on entrepreneurship.

Jade has experience in all facets of broadcasting, including management, communications and technology. She understands video workflow: codecs, formats, editing, transfer. She has managed news staff, coordinated crews while traveling the world, run operations, scheduled teams, and assisted in crafting budgets. Jade launched and managed the ground-up building of a news bureau for a national network. Jade holds a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University.

Harley is a newsroom veteran who understands the needs of latakoo’s clients and how vital it is to provide advice and solutions when the clock is ticking. A former newspaper journalist who transitioned to online media and then television, Harley relied on latakoo’s technology as an assignment editor at the NBC station in Austin. Harley grew up in England, but now lives in Austin with his wife and his dog.

Ryan directs the setup of new accounts and interacts daily with latakoo clients, making sure the latakoo system is working for everyone. As an artist with a keen eye for detail, she designed our management console. She has a deep understanding of how users interface with the latakoo platform and participates daily in the evolution of the design and user interface of latakoo services. Ryan has a BA in Studio Art from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.

Richard is latakoo’s resident research scientist. Richard’s Ph.D. efforts in Electrical Engineering are at the cutting edge of digital signal processing and information theory. Richard has developed technology that enables simultaneous compression and encryption of data, which allows latakoo to provide speedy and secure information transmission over our platform. Richard has degrees in Physics and Engineering and research experience in quantum optics, wireless power transfer, adaptive signal representation and image processing.

Luke Hanrahan, a Royal Television Society award-winning journalist for Euronews has been using latakoo for six years. Hanrahan will focus on expanding the latakoo footprint across Europe, emphasizing the seamless functionality in high-pressure and remote environments.

Brian Calfano is a journalist, author, documentarian and journalism professor at the University of Cincinnati. He’s dedicated to enhancing media technology in education and showing future journalists the best and fastest way to deliver information to the public.

Becca is a Jill-of-all-trades at latakoo, serving as an executive assistant and key member of the customer success team. With a background in project management, she supports various departments, including sales and marketing. Becca holds a degree in Soil and Crop Sciences from Colorado State University and still enjoys nurturing her passion for plants, both inside and outside the office.
Senior Vice President of Marketing
Deborah combines award-winning storytelling prowess with strategic communication expertise to drive innovation in tech. She tracked down bad guys and exposed wasteful spending as an investigative journalist. She is the recipient of 13 Emmy® Awards, three Edward R. Murrow awards and dozens of other accolades. Then, Deborah earned federal certifications in crisis communication as head of public affairs for the FBI in Denver and other law enforcement agencies. After that, she founded a marketing firm to teach people how to harness the power of generative AI.
