Flight for Desktop
Added Features in 6.9 Series
- Flight app is fully on the new latakoo infrastructure for better performance and reliability.
- Supports enhanced reporting in Pilot showing compression and upload progress in real time and provides immediate status of failures that have occurred during the upload process.
- Upload time and bandwidth is more accurately measured in Flight and Pilot.
- Supports resuming stopped uploads during processing, where the app left off, by clicking the Start button again.
- Logged in users can now use Flight to download assets that are only accessible to them via a share link.
- Downloading with Flight now only requires enough free disk space as the size of the download, not twice as much.
- Validation checks have been added to detect rare cases of upload corruption.
- Supports updating the file name and item code at any time before, during, or after an upload. Item code now has a separate Save button.
- Supports iOS videos with spatial audio.
- Optional feature that utilizes more advanced encoding methods to maintain the original source properties of ultra high-definition video.
- Supports a new Folder Structure solution that allows accessing the folder files directly within Pilot.
Bug Fixes in 6.9 Series
- Fixed issue where Flight app temp files were not being purged in a timely manner causing higher disk space usage over time.
- Supports bulk group downloads from Pilot.
- Fixed issue where a connection loss would cause the app to occasionally fail the upload process.
- Fixed issue causing files to not be deletable from disk after uploading has finished but latakoo Flight is still open (6.9.2).
- Fixed “Match Source Properties” issue where HDR (10-bit) Panasonic P2 encoding would not include audio with the exported video (6.9.2).
- Encoding with “Match Source Properties” now uses color info that is only partially available on the source video instead of falling back to all default color info when any is missing (6.9.2).
- Updated broken/old links to new customer support page (6.9.2).
- Updated branding (6.9.2).
- Fixed error when compressing some 12-bit HDR sources while “Match source properties” is enabled (6.9.3).
