latakoo \ 10th June 2026

The evening of June 7th was a celebration of independent film, creative collaboration, and the work that happens behind every finished story. It was also a chance for latakoo to connect directly with the people we build for: filmmakers and production teams moving projects from shoot to screen.
Tribeca Festival was born out of a mission to help revitalize Lower Manhattan after September 11 and to reaffirm New York City as a center for filmmaking and creative culture. Founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff, the festival launched in 2002 and has since grown beyond film into a broader celebration of storytelling across television, music, audio, games, and immersive work. Tribeca remains a major gathering place for artists, audiences, and new creative voices.
For latakoo, being part of that creative ecosystem matters because our work begins where so many filmmakers feel the most pressure: production and post-production workflow.
latakoo was at Tribeca for this reason: to support filmmakers.
We are a video workflow company built to help production teams move faster, collaborate more easily, and get video from shoot to screen with less friction. Our platform helps teams move, manage, transcribe, translate, review, and deliver video efficiently, turning post-production chaos into streamlined collaboration.
At the event, we showcased our production-ready video workflow platform, introduced filmmakers to Generative Video Codec®, and shared teasers from two documentary films produced by latakoo. John Johnson Reporting is directed by Brian Calfano, narrated by Academy Award winner Whoopi Goldberg, and produced in cooperation with ABC & Disney. Tokyo in 33 RPM is directed by Tanmay Srivastava.
We were also proud to preview work from two women filmmakers we support: Cecily Tyler, CEO of docutribe, and M.C. Huff, who is directing and raising funds for The Golden Trail.

A special thank you goes to Lark Adrian, whose work helped bring the event together and who served as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Her energy, preparation, and presence helped shape the night and guide the room through the stories, filmmakers, and purpose behind the event.
We are also grateful to our volunteers Bennett Bolin, Julia Miranda, Bella Boone, and Callum Grobler, who helped make the evening run smoothly and made our guests feel welcome.
Thank you to Julia Smerling for capturing the event through photography and giving everyone a beautiful look back at the night.

We also want to thank Tribeca Festival and Tribeca Senior Programmer Jarod Neece for their cooperation.
To everyone who joined us: thank you for being part of such a successful evening. We hope your Tribeca days are full of successful screenings, meaningful conversations, new collaborations, and momentum for the stories you are bringing into the world.
latakoo is proud to stand with independent filmmakers, not only as a technology partner, but as a producer, collaborator, and advocate for the creative work that deserves to be seen.
