The Broadcast Education Association (BEA) is the premier international academic media organization, driving insights, excellence in media production, and career advancement for educators, students, and professionals. The association’s publications, annual convention, web-based programs, and regional district activities provide opportunities for juried production competition and presentation of current scholarly research related to aspects of the electronic media. BEA serves as a forum for exposition, analysis and debate of issues of social importance to develop members’ awareness and sensitivity to these issues and to their ramifications, which will ultimately help students develop as more thoughtful practitioners.

latakoo was awarded four Telly Awards in 2022. The Telly Awards honor excellence in video, and represent the most innovative stories being told. latakoo’s winning entry was created to build excitement and anticipation leading up to the launch of its new cloud-based web platform and user interface known as the new latakoo Pilot. The short film was recognized in four different Telly Award categories including editing and direct marketing, centered around latakoo’s reimagined video collaboration portal.
